Christmas Night

We had a great time at Aunt Karen’s house. Delicious dinner (I accidentally overate again) and dessert (my favorite: brownies with ice cream). We also exchanged lots of gifts. I was very happy with a gift card to my favorite store, Anthropologie, and the dvd set of My So-Called Life! Toshi and I will have a great time watching those once Paul goes back to work. On the way to Aunt Karen’s, Paul and I talked on the phone to relatives. Toshi usually sleeps when the car is going fast enough, so we finally had some free time! I called Amy and she made me feel better about everything. I love my calls to Amy because I know she’ll understand why I do or think crazy things about raising a baby…
Once we got home, we put Toshi to bed a little late. I think she was wound up from all of the Christmas excitement. Plus she was probably a little on the edge from her lack of naps today. Once I got her to sleep, I went straight to my laptop. I remembered that my friend Laura at work had shown me her laptop with Photo Booth. So Paul and I ended up amusing ourselves with the silly effects. We were actually quite hysterical and I had to put a stop to it so we wouldn’t wake Toshi.
Our favorite effect was the mirror effect. Man, having a built-in webcam is the best!
