Reachin’ for the stars

Toshi can play! I put her on her playmat and rattled her toys. She just looked at them. I went to wash her bottles, and after a while, I realized that I was hearing constant rattling. When I checked on her, she was swatting at her toys– on purpose! I got some quick pics.
She’s really growing up! She is now in her permanent room at daycare. I have talked a lot to her caretaker Michal. I can tell that Michal is very thorough and hard working. She is new, so I think she is nice and fresh– like she fills out the Parent Communication form in more detail than most and she is trying to make the room personalized for the babies. It’s definitely nice for Toshi to be in her own room with all of her stuff.
The work/daycare routine is going well. I am pretty tired, but it’s nice to have a busy routine. It’s kind of fun getting ready in the morning because all three of us need to get ready. And then we all ride in the car together. I’m still skeptical about riding the bus, but I don’t have to think about that quite yet.
The other day I realized that I’m pretty ridiculous. I literally ran to the mall to grab lunch, ran to the drugstore to buy wipes, then ran to Toshi’s daycare. I figured that if I ran, I’d save a few minutes and I could spend more time with Toshi on my lunch break. When I got there, she was sleeping so peacefully. I dropped off the wipes, made sure she was breathing, then left to go eat my lunch. All that running for nothing. I still run to go pick her up after work. I’m probably known as the running mom. Either that, or people think I’m stealing a baby (since I’m pushing a stroller).
Not much else is new. Paul is healthy again. Toshi is less stuffy. All in time for my parents’ visit this weekend!
