Happy Mother’s Day!
Posted by kara
Today was a great day. Toshi woke up early to wish me a happy Mother’s Day. It was quite sweet. Then I went back to bed while Paul hung out with Toshi. After sleeping in until 8:30, I woke up to the smell of pancakes being made quite snappy. Mmm! I also got an incredible Mother’s Day card. I really must have a baby genius, because look at what Toshi programmed for me:

And then when you hit the question box:

It was so cool! And to go along with my Mario card, I got… Mario Kart! I can’t wait to play it. Just hoping that it won’t raise my blood pressure or cause me to swear like a sailor… I also got a Pretenders CD.
After breakfast and some hanging out, we went on a walk to the drugstore. We picked up some Orajel, baby spoons, rice cereal, and a teething ring. Toshi keeps crying out at bedtime, and I think it’s tooth-pain, but really, who knows? Poor girl. I tried to put some Orajel on her gums, but it was pretty hard to get past her tongue. Anyway, I managed to watch 27 Dresses in bits and pieces during the day. It was a nice chick-flick. All-in-all, a very fun day for me.
Oh, and if the Mario card wasn’t enough, Toshi also bought me a card, signed her name, and put her hand print in the card! Maybe she had a little help from Michal, but it was super nice. I must admit that even though I know she didn’t pick out the card, I really liked it.
Okay, gotta go play some MarioKart and eat some ice cream!
