Memorial Day Weekend

Whew-ee. This weekend started with my parents flying in on Friday. Everyone came over for dinner (that my aunt brought). Too bad Toshi has such an early bedtime. She hardly got to see her grandparents that night.

My mom bought Toshi a bunch of clothes and sunglasses.

Saturday was beautiful, bordering on hot. Luckily there was a nice cool breeze. We decided to go on a walk. Somehow we ended up on the same path through the locks, towards Discovery Park. This time the sun wasn’t as horrible, so we made it all the way to the park, and even walked around on a trail. Toshi looked so cute in her outfit.

The rest of the day I think we just watched Toshi play and do tricks (like sit up, roll, eat her feet).

That night, my parents put Toshi to bed and watched her. Paul and I went to see Iron Man. It was a nice entertaining movie. A bit ridiculous, but I guess that is the fun of it. The movie seemed so loud. It actually made me feel uneasy because I kept thinking it would disturb Toshi. It’s so weird to be without her.

Today we went to AK’s for brunch. It was delicious and sedating (I ate way too much). Then we are having linner at Rositas. We have eaten so much good food this weekend! That’s what always happens when my parents come to town! They leave tomorrow morning. Toshi Anne will miss her grandparents, but we’ll get to see them in less than 7 weeks! Maybe by then she’ll be out of her licking-arm-phase.
