Baby phatty boom batty

Today was doctor day! I thought Toshi was getting a bit hefty, and I was right! Check out these stats: weight 17 lbs 5 oz (65th %), head circumference 45 cm (90th %), and height 25.5″ (25th %).

That means we have a short, heavy baby with a big head. Seems about right… and it makes her look sooo cute! I wonder if she gets bothered by my constant kisses, but I just can’t help myself. I figure I better do it now before she can tell me to stop.

Toshiko also had three vaccines. Poor girl. She was not happy about them. Tonight I had to call Paul at work to ask him to come home asap b/c she was being a little sensitive. I knew that he would be able to get her spirits back up.

Staying at home has been pretty fun. I’m so lucky that I get to see funny little things that she does. Lately she has been flapping her arms a lot. At first I thought it was to dance to music, but then she was just doing it at all times. Another little thing we do is we whisper dadadadada to her. She smiles and mouths it back to us. It’s really cute. I think she also likes when I jump around to surprise her or dance and swing my hair like a crazy lady. It’s pretty neat to play with her at this age, because everything is new to her. We can play with the light switches and learn about that. Or we can watch a book drop over and over. Or I can throw her pants in the air and catch them over her and she’ll think it’s so exciting. One of the perks of raising a baby is getting to look at the world with fresh eyes.
