Last night, Mandy and I had some of our favorite pizza at Via’s. So good. Then we headed to Paramount to see Avenue Q. It was very entertaining and well written! I read somewhere that it is age 13+, but I think it’s better for people who have been out of college. That way you get the full effect of the story. Anyway, I’m so glad Mandy asked me to see it because it was really funny and cute and inspiring and depressing and honest and touching. I’ve never been entertained every minute of a play until I saw Ave Q. Every cast member was perfect for their role(s). Good pick, Mandy!

Saturday afternoon was also… interesting. I read that there was going to be a bake sale at the Fremont Bridge to support Obama. Bake sales are right up my alley. Whenever my elementary school had a bake sale, I remember clutching my two quarters and carefully deciding what treat was the best. I looooved having a spread of desserts to choose from. Anyway, Paul told me that it was also the Fremont Solstice Fair. I thought we could grab some desserts and maybe snap a pic of Toshi with naked bicyclists in the background. Plus I read that there would be booths of all sorts of vendors. So we headed over there once Toshi woke up from her nap. The parade of bicycles must have just ended, because there was a big swarm of people leaving when we got there. Just walking through that made me remember how I don’t like big crowds of people, especially on a warm summer day. I think Paul could sense it because he asked me how I liked it so far. We weren’t even to the fair yet! Once we got to the entrance, it wasn’t any better. Poor Paul was pushing our SUV stroller through the crowds. As soon as we made it through one street, I told Paul I was ready to go.

Since we were already out, Paul suggested stopping by Golden Gardens. I breathed a sigh of relief and told him that this was more my speed. It was clear enough to see the mountains.

Today was a good day. Paul woke up at 4am to feed Toshi and get her back to bed. Then I woke up at 6am. Paul woke up a while later and watched her while I took a nap. It feels like we just tag team to take care of Toshi and get sleep. This afternoon we just did a nice long walk and soon my little bro should be coming over for dinner.
