My buddies and me

Well, it’s official. The buddy band has broken up. I don’t know how it began, but I sure know how it ended: babies! My work buddies (Laura and Aaron) and I have had a great time– they made work lots of fun and were always there to brighten my day with cookies and the occasional fashion show. I was sad to leave work and be out of the loop, but I still got to meet up with them for lunch once in a while. But like I mentioned, our trio’s down to two. Laura is pregnant and moving to Arizona tomorrow! I can’t believe it, but I’m so excited for her. I think she will really love having a house to raise her baby and pugs in and she’ll also enjoy having family nearby.

Yesterday Toshi and I met up with the work buddies for one last hurrah at FareStart. We caught up on everything and enjoyed our lunch. Toshi kept the screaming down to a minimum with the help of the trusty banana puffs. Laura looked great and had a teeny tiny tummy. But I know when you are going through it, you feel like you are huge. I’ll miss Laura a ton, but I know she’ll keep her blog nice and updated. [Right? Right?] Anyway, I had to be a nerd and bring my camera. Luckily Laura agreed to get our pic taken and then Aaron followed suit.

Today was library day. It was just okay. There were a couple of funny babies, but Toshi didn’t want to interact too much. I think she was a little tired because her morning nap was so short. Or maybe she was tired out from her gymnastics. She did a great tumbling routine on the bed today. Lots of fast crawling, rolling, flopping backwards, splits, and even a flourished turn/backbend thing. I wish I could get pictures of it, but I really need to be on high alert when she’s on the bed.

Anyway, Toshi and I are counting down the days until Paul gets back. Friday night! Friday night!
