Another Toshi!

Last night, Toshiko and I met up with brother Paul, Aunt Karen & fam, Great Uncle Toshi, Carol, and Rex. That’s right– another Toshi! And I think he was married to Great Aunt Toshi. How cool is that? And probably confusing at times. Anyway, it was very neat to meet them. They are my dad’s mom’s sister’s husband and daughter/son-in-law. We ate at Ivar’s in Mukilteo and it was fantastic! Even as leftovers, my salmon held up nicely.

Here are some quick-quick photos I snapped. I probably should have done a better job, but little Toshi was getting antsy.

This past weekend was very relaxed. We decided to check out Seward Park. It was a nice walk by the water. Toshi saw lots of baby friends. I also later realized that I had on my NYU shirt and Paul had on his NY shirt. We must have looked like big fans of NY!

Toshiko is now easily pulling up on everything. She has also pretty much mastered holding on with only one hand. She is fearlessly working on standing without holding onto anything, but having little success so far. Watching her process of developing her new skills makes me think she is more like her father than like her cautious mother. She knows when she is ready to do something and tries it without hesitation. She just goes for it. Which means a few bumps and bruises, but also a second or two of standing alone.
