The great pumpkin patch

This weekend we visited the pumpkin patch. It’s something that I’ve been thinking about since I was pregnant. I’m not sure if I have ever thought about going to the pumpkin patch as an event until I saw this cute photo of my niece four years ago.

Anyway, inspired by this photo, I wanted a pumpkin patch photo of my little baby. So we picked up Uncle Paul and drove out to The Farm. We’ve been there before a couple of years ago. I thought about trying a new pumpkin patch place, but it’s hard to pass up a pumpkin patch with good treats.

We arrived in the afternoon and it was beautiful weather. Toshi was so happy to see us and other kids. She was waving and smiling. As soon as we got to The Farm, Uncle Paul bought a couple of Cider Donuts.

I really liked this sign… I think I just like white lettering on either wood or kraft paper. Anyway, it took us our whole trip to figure out if they were cider flavored donuts or just cider and donuts. We determined they were cider flavored donuts from a menu sign at the bakery. We also had Polish dogs, chili, corn, hot apple cider, and pumpkin pie. Perfect!

Toshi saw the animals at the petting zoo. (I hope the animals don’t feel harassed.) There was a cute little miniature pony, kittens, rabbits, sheep, goats, roosters and pigs. She laughed at the pigs. They were just lazing in the sun.

Finally, we made it to the pumpkin patch. It wasn’t as picturesque as my niece’s pumpkin patch… The mud was all caked and dry, but I still didn’t want Toshi’s nice little Robeez on the dirt. She still chews her shoes.
