No luck. Still stuck.

Like most mornings, this morning I woke up several times. Rather than being annoyed that I kept waking up, I was excited that it was almost time to wake up. Today we would fly to Toledo! Or so I thought. As soon as I checked the computer I saw an email from my mom that said, “Your flight was cancelled.” What? My flight wasn’t for another 6 hours. I looked outside and saw a few more inches of snow.

After a couple of phone calls to our airline, we got tickets for Christmas Eve. I felt very disappointed. I felt like it was the California reunion all over again. And this time David Judah was played by the snowstorm. And playing the part of heightened airport security was Seattle’s non-salting policy. Ugh. I was so excited for this Christmas because we’d be with all the little cousins and they’d be all Santa-slap-happy. Nuts. Looks like we are missing Christmas morning. But hopefully we’ll make it there in time for Christmas afternoon. And on the upside, we’ll be able to have New Year’s Day breakfast with my grandma and family. It’s a special tradition for our family and I haven’t had my grandma’s cooking in a long time.

Wish us luck for the 24th!
