Vacation #3 Seaside

We are done with vacations for the summer! Whew… it’s fun, but not completely relaxing. This was our first little family vacation. We drove 3.5 hrs to Seaside, OR. Paul’s brother Kevin and his girlfriend Megan met up with us. We walked around the beach, got some ice cream, Toshi hand-pedaled a little train on rails, Marf took her first few steps by herself, we went out to dinner, got some donuts (that’s how Megan won me over), went to Cannon Beach, went out to lunch, got ice cream, walked around Seaside, Toshi went to the hotel pool, we ordered pizza, and watched Aristocats.

Cannon Beach was my favorite part. It was so beautiful! I loved the colors of the sky/water/sand. The best part was that the sand was all hard and easy to walk on. It was in the 80s, but it felt nice and cool on the windy beach.

It was a good time and I’m glad that we got to hang out with Moe and Megan for a couple of days. Luckily, they are two of the most easy going people, so they didn’t mind a schedule driven by Marf and me falling asleep both nights during Goonies. And of course, Toshi loved playing with Uncle Moe and Megan.
