Have a Holly Jolly Jamus Day

Posted by kara

Instead of sending my dearest wife (I can’t remember if Mark is letting me call you that still) a birthday card, I decided she would probably prefer a blog post instead. So, Jamus, here’s to a delightful birthday filled with fresh blog posts and lots of Facebook messages.

Martha is starting to look older to me. She is communicating more and proudly announcing that most things are the color “purple.” In this house, she is right about half the time, since everything is either purple or pink.

We had a great St. Patrick’s Day. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. Okay, so I just like the Guinness Chocolate Cake… and the soda bread and aged Irish cheddar my brother brought over… and the beer was pretty tasty as well… So basically St. Paddy’s Day just means Irish-ish food and wearing green to me. Does that mean I can’t claim to be part-Irish anymore?

Toshi also loved wearing green. She wore a sparkly shamrock shirt and had two hair bows from Paul’s parents. She also liked the cake, but declared the icing was just okay. (It was cream cheese frosting that she licked up anyway.)

Paul made the holiday extra special by bringing home a projector and showing a movie on the girls’ bedroom wall. They made movie posters to hang on the door and popcorn (that Toshi didn’t like). Toshi was pretty tickled and Marf just liked watching stuff.

It was a great weekend. Speaking of great, that Jamus sure is great. I hope she has a fun birthday week. Jamus, I miss you and wish we could hang out!! Maybe that could be your birthday wish? Pretty please? Love you! xoxoxoxo
