A Special Angel

I never really knew how long you could grieve for someone… or just how much it can affect someone. I still think about my grandma a lot.

I know this holiday will be hard, especially for my parents and Aunt Janet. I had been missing my grandma a lot, and then this arrived in the mail.

I started to read the card and after the first sentence, I realized the sentiment and immediately started tearing up.

“A special angel for your tree for the beautiful angel in your lives this year. Your grandma lit up all your lives, and the lives of all who knew her with her love of family and her eternally strong and sparkling spirit! Her light lives on forever in each of you! I know, I’ve seen it! Thinking of all you with love during the holidays and always! –Elsa (Mrs. K), Joe, and all the Kay Families”

Mrs. Kay (Gret’s mom who is my second mom) is pretty amazing. I don’t know how she does it, but I am grateful.
