Holiday Steamroller

Following our tradition, Paul decorated the house the day after Thanksgiving. I think the girls watched Frosty and ate their special Frosty the Snowman ice cream. We also visited the Christmas display house a few blocks over. It was pouring rain, but the guy was setting it up and we were there watching him.

I have already taken the girls to see some live reindeer (in the hopes of getting a good Christmas card pic, but Marf would not smile). And then we went to the Seattle Center which was all decked out. After that, we made our gingerbread house. The marshmallows were very popular.

This week we may knock out zoo lights and a Santa photo. Then the week after maybe gingerbread men cookies and present shopping? Crafts? We still have three weeks to go!

In other news, I went downtown today for my eye appointment while the girls were in school. I realized that it had been so long since I’ve been dawdling downtown that I forgot were the bathrooms in the department stores were. I know, shocking, right? Also, I wasn’t offended by the use of Dijon on a sandwich. I think the mayo cancelled out the grossness. What a day!

Oh, and Marf is trying to use the potty. She just prefers to poop in her diaper and THEN sit on the potty. And so it begins.
