Twinkle Winkle

For some reason, Toshi started singing Twinkle Twinkle as Twinkle Winkle… It’s cute (especially since she sings it so robustly).

Every morning (and night) she calls for Daddy to come get her when she wakes up. This is because Paul has been trying to let me sleep as much as possible. (Best husband ever.) Anyway, the other morning she called for me. So I leapt up (because I couldn’t sleep anyway) and went into her room. Later that day, Paul asked her why she asked for Mommy and she said it was because she wanted a snack. Which is true, because when I got her, the first thing she said was, “I want a snack.” She already knows her go-to snack buddy…

This morning, I was making eggs and she started “painting” my back with her drumstick (aka her paintbrush). Then she just held the drumstick at my rear. She said, “I’m giving you a tail.” I told her thanks, but I didn’t need a tail.

She also knows what Skype is. She loves singing and feeding her pretend food to her grandparents. Toshi even said she wanted to go to Oba’s house and tried to reach through the screen. If only it were that easy!
