Money Dance

We had a lovely visit with my parents. Toshi and Martha got lots of attention, and I got lots of food. One of the highlights was going to Din Tai Fung and eating delicious fried rice and dumplings. So good. I’m already trying to figure out how to get Paul there so I can try it again… I mean, so he can try it for a first time.
Anyway, not too much is going on. Martha is waking up at night still. She isn’t rolling too much, but likes to scoot on her back. Toshi missed school last week because she had a cough and runny nose. We made her valentine box at home so she can still collect valentines this week at school. I felt like such a mom when I was cutting out hearts for her. Although I did use some leftover Color-Aid, so I felt slightly artsy. (And slightly mad that they made us buy huge boxes of expensive Color-Aid.)
Another highlight was getting some Cincinnati chili from Mandy. She is so sweet. And I thought how I would have never guessed 12 years ago (geez that is a long time) that the girl who sat at the front table (for a bit) of studio class would be (living with Luke and) making me chili in Seattle and dropping it off for me and Jesus-in-a-Hawaiian-shirt. I really think that we were meant to be friends.
Anyway, I have lots of pics to go through, but for now, maybe some video will add to the Monday cheer.
Uncle Bill gave Toshi a huge candy-holder-turned-piggy-bank. I jokingly told her to get money from Uncle Bill. Instead, she collected money from everyone. I feel guilty.
