Toshi doesn’t like vaccines

Turns out, vaccines make Toshi fussy for days. I think by Thursday afternoon she was back to her old self. She is still a little bit fussier than normal, but maybe she just wants to be held more and bounced more after such a traumatic experience. Either way, I’m glad that the screaming is pretty much done. And thank goodness she was still able to sleep through the nights! My cousin Amy said she is protective of Liam’s sleep schedule and I feel the same way! When Toshi sleeps well, she is so much happier, which means that her parents are happier too. And really, who doesn’t love happy parents?

Another thing I also learned is that the Baby Aveeno cream makes Toshi’s face break out and itch. She kept clawing at her face with her razor sharp baby fingernails. (I swear I cut them short! And it still scratches her!) She’s also doing her old Toshi trick of aggressively rubbing her face against my shoulder. We needed to figure out a way to make this stop. And here is our solution:

Double A’s (Paul’s Aunt Ann) outfit with the hand covers! The outfit has a beautiful rose print on it AND it has snaps! So we didn’t have to put Toshi through the ringer and pull another outfit over her head. We just snapped it up and laughed at how big it is. I thought it was funny to see her move her limbs because the fabric just drapes over her. (And she shakes her arms and legs a ton.) Oddly enough, she didn’t seem to mind the fabric covering her hands. She is just as content sucking on the fabric over her hands. So her face cleared up a bit.

Now if I can figure out how to get her diaper from leaking poop…
