Little laughs
Posted by kara
I made Toshi laugh! It was so so SO fun to hear her little baby laugh. I plopped her in her vibrating chair because I needed a break from carrying her. Then to take her mind off of how much she doesn’t like the vibrating chair, I bounced it while singing part of the Pink Panther theme song (or Aunt Bone song) and ended it with her name. She was laughing so much– I had to call Paul to see if he could get home in time. Unfortunately, he was still at work, so I tried to see if she would laugh while I had him on the line… nope. I think she gets distracted by cell phones/cameras/camcorders and never does the cute thing you are trying to record. Oh well… there will be more laughs I’m sure!
Toshi is also able to suck on her hand consistently. She will raise up her power fist and slowly/deliberately bring it to some part of her face. Then the hand will slide to her mouth and she’ll either start sucking the whole fist, or will open it up and stick her thumb in her mouth while the other fingers are pointing straight up into her eyes. I just try to keep her fingernails trimmed and hope she doesn’t scratch her eyes out. At night we are still using those sleepers with hand covers…
Today Toshi received a fun summer dress and headband from Great-Grandma Toshi. She also got a hat, cardigan, pants, and socks from her Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Irland. They all coordinate and are very cute. I hope the dress will fit just right for P-dog’s wedding. I cannot wait for that wedding! Plus Toshi will get to meet all her wonderful aunts/uncles/cousins.
Not too much else… these next two weeks are going to fly. Next Monday Paul and I are dropping off stuff to Toshi’s daycare. Then on Friday, Toshi and I are going to Vegas to meet up with Grandma Toshi, my parents, and other relatives for Grandma’s 90th birthday. Once we get back, Toshi will start daycare and then the week after that, I start work! Ahhhhhhhh!
