We love grandparents

First of all, happy birthday to Grandma Lynn! We miss you and wish we could celebrate your special day with you. I think about you all the time and think about calling you often… however the reality of the time difference and having a baby sometimes doesn’t match up with phone calls.
Second of all, we had a lovely weekend with my parents. There is always sooo much good food and the leftovers pile up very quickly. It’s very distressing because I hate to see such good food go to waste. So I end up stuffing myself full of leftovers– trying to eat it all before it goes bad. It’s a very hard task and I give it my all. Aside from the food, there was shopping. My mom and I drove up to the outlets. I forgot how much I like those outlets. I could spend all day there, but we were under a time constraint and only shopped an hour there! I think I spent most of my time waiting in line at the Banana Republic fitting room corral. It was worth it though, because I found jeans that fit! The next day, my parents and I took Toshi to the Bellevue mall. Another fun (and successful) shopping trip. Nothing like Banana Republic Petites! Plus we tried the Red Mango frozen yogurt. It was a little too yogurty. Then my mom got a mini cupcake at New York Cupcakes. She declared it was her favorite Seattle cupcake. And trust me, she is well-versed in Seattle cupcakes.
Overall, we had a great time with my parents. They are so helpful and really take care of us. Once again, my freezer is stocked full of meals. And our car is clean– I almost didn’t recognize it because it looked brighter than normal. Toshi will miss having them here. I think she really enjoyed her afternoon and day at home with her grandparents. She hopes they will come back in May. That leaves April completely open for her other grandparents to visit…. 😉
Other than my parents visiting, things have been very tiring. I think there was a second cold that we all caught. Toshi is still trying to fight her congestion and has a terrible cough. It’s so awful. I hope it goes away soon. She is so congested that she wakes up in the middle of the night. I feel like I’m as tired as I was when she was first born. I wonder if we’ll always be constantly sick from all of the daycare germs. I just saw a notice up today that said there was one case of pinkeye at the daycare. Great…
I thought I had a lot to post. I guess not. Oh, she is also starting to scream. Usually not in a horrified way… just screaming for the sake of hearing her voice. It’s pretty funny. She also likes to talk really loudly, especially when she is falling asleep or waking up.
Here are some Bumbo pictures. I’ve been so eager to get Toshi in the Bumbo because I thought Liam’s pics were hilarious. Toshi still doesn’t have the best head control, so she is kind of slumped over. Maybe next week will be better.
