Marph is three!

My 6-year-old niece Megan (Steph and Andy’s daughter) spelled Marf with a “ph” and I thought that was pretty clever!
We threw our first party at the house for Martha’s 3rd birthday. It’s funny to me that Martha is older than Toshi was when Martha was born. It just feels like I can’t hold onto these toddler times–we are now onto kid times. I’m finding that it’s sad, but also has great advantages like more sleep and more helpers.
Anyway, back on track: Marf’s My Little Pony party. My parents came down and helped out a ton. There was enough room in the house for everyone and we made due with the furniture we had or borrowed. My mom and I made two cakes (we have about 1 cake leftover). Plus I ordered 6 XL pizzas for 28 people, when 4 would have been plenty. I blame the dieters for my leftovers. My aunt brought over egg rolls and now I’m craving them. It was all good.
We set up Pin the Cutie Mark on the Pony. Avery and Miles thought it was too girly, so they did not participate. The rest did, in the hopes of winning the soccer trophy. The blindfold was a little too see-through, so it was hard to determine a winner. The parents insisted the winner should be Martha…it was almost as if they didnt want to take home the trophy…
We then went outside for the piƱata. Avery and Miles thought it was fun to bash the pink pony. Martha was so tired by this point, she could barely swing.
Marf loved her presents–especially the MLP castle and anything MLP. Toshi loved Marf’s presents too. Toshi played all day with Marfy’s new scooter.
Thanks, family, for making the celebration special for my little Marph!
