Getting bigger

Posted by kara

Toshi Anne is growing quite fast. It seems like things that were once ridiculously big on her are now barely fitting. When I look at her on the playmat, she looks pretty big. I remember when Grandpa Mike and Grandma Lynn put her on the playmat in December and she looked tiny on it. Anyway, here is a cute hat that I’ve been waiting for her to grow into.

I like this picture that Paul took. To me, it looks like she’s some kind of explorer and she’s running around.

I started putting together her photo album. Looking back at the pictures is crazy. It feels like Toshiko has been around forever. I can’t believe how fast it is going and how much she has changed. I know that is all obvious, but look at different she looks:

I think she is at a really cool age. She totally can play with hanging toys. She can see across the room and smile at us. She has a good sense of humor (I think she takes after Paul). And best of all, she pretty much doesn’t cry. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself. I feel like I can take her places and not have to pray that she sleeps the whole time. Before when I would run errands, I’d hope that the car ride would put her to sleep and that she’d sleep the whole time. Now she’ll just quietly look around from her stroller and maybe suck on her hands a bit. What a good girl. We are so lucky. I remember thinking three months is pretty good, but four months feels like a honeymoon period.

I better get going. Today is my Aunt Karen’s birthday dinner at UB’s. It’s the dinner of the year!
