OH/IN trip (2/2)

Indianapolis! We arrive early Thursday morning and get to hang out with our sweet little niece Emma (Tex’s daughter). She is shy for about two minutes, and then plays with all three of us just fine. Paul’s parents arrive and Steph makes it over with her two little ones. We get to meet her cute little boy Ben! Little Megan is all grown up (well, not really, but she’s walking and talking now!). She is so cute I wanted to just pick her up and squish her, but I didn’t want to scare her. So I refrained. It is such a treat to watch the little ones interact. They are hilarious. Emma grew to like Toshi and when I took Toshi away to change her diaper, Emma said, ‘My Toshi! My Toshi!’ I think she didn’t like that I was taking her away.
That night we went over to Double A’s for a delicious dinner. Again, it was crazy with all of the kids running around. The girls all have their own baby doll and stroller to push around the house. Norah and Caitlyn were shy at first, but once I watched some Robin Hood with Norah, they both warmed up quickly. Norah was so cute– she said that it was the best day. And Caitlyn is so full of joy– it’s contagious when you are around her.
And of course, you have to try to get all the kids together for the line-up picture.
On Friday, Paul watched Toshi while I joined the ladies for the bridal luncheon. It was a beautiful church transformed into an art gallery. They had a nice little cafe. And the food was very good– I cleaned my plate.
In the late afternoon, we stopped by Paul’s old work’s party. It was their 25th anniversary party. It was nice to see everyone. One of Paul’s old coworkers had a baby that was a month younger than Toshi. Toshi looked so big!
I dropped Toshi off at my aunt’s house, where my parents were waiting. Toshi had a nice evening with them.
Doesn’t she look like she’s giving a moody model look in this photo?
Anyway, Paul and I enjoyed ourselves at the rehearsal dinner. The boys tried to get Double to eat a super rare steak for $50, but she declined. No takers.
Saturday was Pdog’s wedding! This wedding was so beautiful, happy, and fun. The girls were cute in their little dresses. Pdog looked super beautiful (as always). And I loved AJ’s dress too– it was so elegant. (Please excuse the blurry picture.) Toshi got to meet her Great Aunt Pat. She really liked her necklace. We also got to see Operation: Baboon. Nothing like a goat, some Beast music, and a photo cutout board to add to the wedding’s ambiance! It was a great night and we were very happy to spend time with the family.
