9 month check-up (a month late)

Posted by kara

Yesterday I took Toshi to her 9 month check-up even though she is 10 months old. Apparently our doctor is very popular and booked. (I think the fact that he is the only full-time doctor at the clinic might have something to do with it.) Anyway, Toshi appears to be thriving and evening out a bit. She is 20 lbs, 9 oz (70th percentile) and 28″ (also 70th percentile). Her head remains quite big, measuring in the 96th percentile. But at least her height caught up a bit.

She is babbling in both repeated syllables (babababa) and also in baby talk which sounds like sentences. She does a lot of grumbling when something isn’t quite right, and she still likes to give zerberts and sometimes ends them with a bite.

I am convinced that she is at the peak of her cuteness, because there is no way she can get any cuter than she is now. But then again, I said that to Paul a month ago. And I also thought that at 6 months. And at 4…

I spent most of today reading over www.marrow.org  and I signed up to be a donor. I’ve been meaning to do this for over a year, and I totally forgot about it until my friend Laura sent me an email about it. I feel like it’s always scary to do any kind of operation/donation but when I imagining the frustration of parents or spouses at not having a donor for their loved one, I feel like I should at least try to help.

Not much else is going on. Here is some video of this morning!
