Move over basket

There are a couple of new toys that Toshi is obsessed with. Toshi loves the rain cover for her stroller. I’m sure it says somewhere that it is not intended to be a toy. But if Toshi sees it, she will try to get under it. It’s her own little see-through fort. Paul ended up hiding it behind the rocking chair. It took me a few minutes to find it for our walk yesterday. And when Toshi saw it, she insisted on carrying it. So she carried the rain cover while I carried her. And when I put her in her stroller, she cried because I made her let go of the rain cover. She only stopped crying when I put it over her stroller. As I pushed her around on one of the sunniest Seattle days, I felt like a fool. I kept making up answers to questions that I thought people would ask. “You realize that it’s not raining?” “She a little attached to her rain cover nowadays.”
Even more than her rain cover, she looooves her baby bjorn. She will grab it and keep waving it around or mashing it into me or Paul until one of us breaks down and puts it on with her in it. We also have a strategy where one of us distracts her and the other hides it. I’m not sure why she loves it so much. Sometimes she’ll just play quietly with the baby bjorn. She’ll wave it a little and then put it on the ground and lay her head on it.
Yesterday was the perfect fall day. It was sunny and very crisp. Everything about it was fall– leaves on the ground, kids playing soccer, comfort foods sounding yummy. I love fall!
And here are some videos of Toshi moving to music.
