Sing song

Who was I kidding? Of course I’m going to post again before we leave. This one goes out to my homies (or at least the J-4ster).

Today Toshi and I braved the icy sidewalks and walked to a local store to buy some final presents. The store owner had her son there. He looked like he was about 18 months. Turns out he was a month younger than Toshi. He was at least an inch taller and he was walking around like a champ. Toshi said her hi’s and then proceeded to play with his walker toy. There were also a lot of dangerous things around the store, so it was a little hard watching Toshi and buying the gifts. Somehow we managed. I knew she wasn’t going to want to leave, but I did not anticipate the fight she’d put up. She kept arching her back and fake crying when I put her in the seat. I couldn’t get her in the stroller! I tried about 5 times and then finally the boy’s dad stood behind me and made faces/jumped around to distract Toshi. That worked and I got her out of the store. I’m just glad that they had a son the same age. I could tell they weren’t phased by any of Toshi’s actions.

Anyway, today Toshi was being funny during her afternoon snack. Once I ran to get the camcorder, her enthusiasm subsided a little. Take a look!
