Sit back and relax…

Today I had my 38th week doctor appointment. Without getting too much into detail, let’s just say that everything looks pretty much the same as last week. My sister-in-law (Tex) told me that she was frustrated toward the end because things didn’t always progress from week-to-week. At the time, I kind of thought that things were happening fast for me, so I’d probably progress week-to-week. Nope. My doctor said that the growth was still good, and the baby has definitely settled head down. I asked her if she had a guess as to when the baby would come, and she offered up, “Probably a few days after your due date… not more than a week after your due date.” Once she saw the disappointed look on my face, she said that she too wished the day would come sooner for me. Nuts. Nuts. Nuts.

So yeah… time to sit back and relax. I’m now contemplating if I should buy a nice pair of sweat pants to make my last couple of weeks more comfortable. Sweat pants that I can wear to work… everyday…
