First Christmas

Today we had our first Christmas with Mike and Lynn. Toshi was given a cute outfit and a fun light-up stacking toy.

Paul received a new hoodie to replace the hoodie he had to cut up and put on the window sill to catch all of the condensation. And Mike drew Paul’s name in the gift exchange, so he also gave him a very thoughtful gift: a donation to a program for fathers. The program helps fathers be better dads. It was the perfect way to honor Paul since he is such a good dad.

I got a gift card to pick out some new clothes (yay!!) and a pair of really cool earrings. No pic of that since I was the photographer tonight.

Other than Christmas, we have still been enjoying our grandparent-time.

Today we took Toshi to the mall. Grandpa Mike pushed the stroller while Lynn and I went into a couple of shops. Little Toshi slept through the whole two hour trip.

Also, we’d like to thank Aunt Joan for the gorgeous blanket she made for Toshi. I love itâ€“ love how soft it is, love that it is knit, and love that it is blue. Thanks, AJ! It is absolutely perfect!

I sure wish we were having Christmas all together. Makes me miss you guys even more to see the pictures. I am so glad that you (and Toshi) like the blanket. You know that I only know how to knit one stitch so I do it over and over until it is a blanket. 🙂 (Long walk part of gift……) She is so adorable….

She’s been pretty good so far. It helps having other people around to hold her and whatnot.

Kara’s been doing the bulk of the work, especially now that I’m back at work; hopefully she can rest some on the weekends!

I like how you guys give eachother credit for “most of the work”. Mark and I were just downstairs tearing down wallpaper each claiming that we (as individuals) do most of the work. This ended with a mature session of the shadow game and then Mark saying, “I know you are but what am I?”
