Beep beep beep

It started out as a couple of random beeps every 10 or 15 minutes. When we woke up this morning, it had grown into three beeps, a second-long pause, three beeps, a second-long pause, etc. What is making the beeping noise? Where is the noise coming from? We have no clue! AHHHH! I think it is either our neighbor next to us or the person below us. I hope it goes away before Tuesday. Paul keeps me pretty distracted and sane, but without him, I might go a bit nuts. He has Monday off because he has been working long hours, but he might end up going in anyway since he has another deadline.

I think tomorrow we are going over to AK’s house for the Super Bowl. In preparation, I have purchased three deathcakes to be sampled by the good people at AK’s. By definition, deathcakes are “layers of single-origin chocolate decadence, espresso ganache, and our own chocolate cake deluxe… drenched in dark chocolate ganache… topped with a chocolate curl and centered on a sassy red cupcake foil.” Yikes! Did I mention that I’m going to give up chocolate for Lent? So I’m trying to clear the house of chocolate and get my chocolate fix before Wednesday. This little cupcake should do the trick.

After our cupcake walk, we got home and Paul changed Toshi’s diaper. He made up a great song with the lyrics, “1 2 3 PANTS!” He got some good smiles from that one.

And since yesterday was bro Paul’s birthday, Toshi got all gussied up in her nice white outfit from Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Mike. I thought I’d take her picture with the bow too…

Okay! Now I’m off to enjoy the weekend and resist the cupcakes that are sitting on the kitchen counter. Have a good one!
