Stuffed up

Little Tosherton is still stuffed up. Yesterday, I went to pick her up at daycare, and Michal informs me that Toshi is super congested and that she almost called me to pick her up early. She says that Toshi slept for 4 hours and is really sick and refused half her bottle twice. I felt like she was accusing me of something. So once again I told her that I’ve taken Toshi to the doctor 3 times and called the nurse 3 times. And they say there is nothing we can do for her. I read the Parent Communication Sheet as I was leaving and it said that if Toshi is still this congested tomorrow, do not bring her in. I was pretty steamed. There is nothing I would be doing differently at home. I felt like they just didn’t want to have the responsibility of taking care of a stuffed up baby. And what am I supposed to do since she’s been this congested for the past three weeks? We are paying the daycare lots of money to take care of her. And I know that she’s gotten this cold from the other babies! I see them and they all have boogers hanging out of their noses and they are also coughing all over the place.

So I stressed out for a bit and figured that if worse came to worse, I would have to keep Toshi in my office while I worked. My boss verified that it would be okay. And Laura even offered to watch Toshi during my dental appointment. Anyway, I checked on Toshi this morning and Michal said she was doing much better and taking her bottle. Then I checked on her again two hours later at lunch and Michal said she was still fine. I said that I could stop by after my dentist appointment, but Michal said that she’s probably fine. She said that she was just worried about her yesterday because Toshi is so small and delicate. I took that as an apology. (I win!) (Just kidding.) (Kinda.) So we’re all good now.

Okay. I had to get that little drama off my chest. Now for the fun stuff.

Easter was good. We had a delicious meal at my aunt’s house. And only my aunt would make cute little paper baskets with chocolates in them for all the guests. She is quite the hostess! And I’ve almost finished off all three baskets…
