It’s time for a change

This morning we all got ready early and were out the door by 6:55 am. When we rounded the corner, we saw that there was a line outside of the community center… nothing exciting like I imagined from all the hype. A couple minutes later, they opened the doors and we all waited inside where it was warm and dry.

Paul juggled Rasta Toshi.

Luckily, the line wasn’t too bad.

It wasn’t managed very well, but it probably worked to our advantage in the end. Paul voted and I held Toshi. Then I voted and Paul held Toshi. We were back home by 7:40 am. Not too bad!

I think everyone has a feeling that this is a big election. It’s time to get our nation back on track. (Although that will probably take a lot longer than 4 years.) And like my dad, I usually don’t like to talk about politics too much. However, I am really hopeful and excited for this election. I feel like I finally have a candidate that can win and make a difference. I think this candidate will make responsible decisions. I wanted to remember this feeling of belief in a politician, so I borrowed Paul’s iPhone (which I don’t really know how to use well).

And now I’m done. No more politics. No more political tv ads. I’m ready for the election to be over. There is too much that is frustrating… too much meanness, too much lying, too much pretending.

Now let’s forget our troubles with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream!
