Toshi updates:
1. Walking backwards a lot. Doesn’t look where she is going. Surprisingly it doesn’t cause too many accidents.
2. Real zerberts now perfected. Not sure it was good to teach her to lift up my shirt. Although, I don’t think we taught her that.
3. Says, “Boom!” when she falls down.
4. Will request something like, “Elmo?” and then follow it with a hearty “Yeah!”

Weekend update:

On Friday, AK UD and the K’s came over to watch Toshi. They built her lots of fun forts out of foam tiles. Paul and I took my bro Paul out to dinner for his birthday. We went to Kingfish on Capitol Hill and actually ran into Mandy there. That is pretty crazy, considering all the things that happened to put us there at the right time and place and to magically be seated in the small dining area rather than the other dining room. Anyway, the food was delicious and the cake was bread-like.

On Saturday we went to Chris’s to see how he was doing. He hasn’t been feeling well the past week, but hopefully he will recover fully after his root canal that is happening as I type. Toshi gave out lots of kisses and I ate lots of snacks. Then my brother came over for a laid back dinner. We watched Pineapple Express, which was actually a funny movie. It was nice to see a funny movie that didn’t stem from a crazy unbelievable character. (Not that the movie was completely plausible.)

Sunday was nice. We hung out and took a walk around the neighborhood. We watched the Superbowl. I tried to remember to watch the commercials, but sometimes I just automatically tuned them out. My favorite was the 1-second Miller ad where the guy just shouts Hi-Life! Brilliant. The other one I liked was the Pepsi one with Bob Dylan and (I had to look this up) Will.i.am. I thought that was well done. Anyway, I was craving pizza and luckily, my brother brought over pizza as his dinner for us… on his birthday. It was super delicious. Red potato, rosemary chicken pizza. Really good flavor.

However, the end of our weekend wasn’t all that great. Toshi woke up at around 10pm last night and then she woke up at 5am this morning. I’m not sure what is going on, so I’ll just blame it on possible molar teething. Here we go again!
