Obaa & Ojii visit
Posted by kara
This weekend my parents came to town. As usual, it was pretty laid back. I think it basically boiled down to eating, napping, eating, hanging out, napping, eating, hanging out.
They came on Thursday and we ate lunch downtown and hit a couple of stores. Toshi ordered her first meal at a restaurant, and ended up eating about a spoonful of the mac and cheese.
On Friday, we went to a local burger joint and it was pretty tasty. Unfortunately, they only had 2 high chairs and both were being used. So we juggled Toshi around and distracted her with a glass of water and a straw. That night we hung out with cousin Frank & Melody. Frank showed us a bunch of old pictures on his computer. I got to see pictures of my mom and her cousins when they were young kids. So cute!
Saturday we went to Aunt Karen’s for lunch. Lots of delicious food and good music (heh!). Paul and I came home and tried to put Toshi down for a nap, but she wouldn’t have it. So Saturday night we all hung out and brother Paul made us my favorite pasta.
On Sunday, we met up at baguette box and had delicious sandwiches. Then we grabbed cookies at PCC and took them to Gasworks Park. The cookies were just so-so, but we ate them anyway! Then Sunday night Paul and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire. It was a pretty nice movie. Lots of fun colors and music. I just wanted to grab the children and take care of them.
Here are some pics!
