Short lived

Well, the flowers were nice while they lasted. The other day, Toshi was busy coloring, so I hopped online real quick to check out some recipes. After a couple of minutes, I realized that I was hearing little snapping sounds over and over. I had dismissed the snapping sound because she usually snaps her crayons into pieces. But since the sound was happening at an alarming rate, I knew she had ditched her crayons and was up to something. I turned around and saw this.
Up until that day, she had been really gentle with the flowers. She’d go up to them and just pat them. Guess it’s good that she’ll just have petals at Jamie’s wedding and not a bouquet!
I also forgot to mention a little story about our trip to the community center. We went on a really quiet day and played in the toddler room by ourselves for an hour. Toshi’s naptime was coming up, so I told her it was time to go. We were leaving when two grandparents came in with their 4 year old granddaughter. Toshi got really excited and went up to them saying, “HI! HI!” They returned the greeting. She blew them many kisses and THEN she went up to the grandpa and held up her hands so he would pick her up! He did and she just smiled. Then she wanted down and we left. I thought that was very funny that she wanted the stranger to pick her up. Although now I’m wondering when I teach her to not be so friendly with strangers!
Here are a couple of pics I took. I just like these pj’s! And I thought her expression in the second pic was funny. “Mama, puh-lease!”
