Counting, Part II
Posted by kara
Usually when we put Toshi to bed, she just goes right to sleep. I love that. Sometimes she talks a little to herself (or Bear) about the fan being off or someone’s shoes. The other night, she was counting. We heard her on the monitor, and I thought it was pretty funny. I hesitated to record it at first, (because I’m sure it is one of those parent-obsessive things) but it makes me laugh every time I watch it. She decided to start counting from 5.
I also went to Target and bought a ton of things I didn’t plan on buying. That always happens when I go there! One of those impulse buys was a tennis racket for Toshi. I figured it would be good to have a racket she could play with so she won’t try to take our rackets when we are playing tennis. Plus it’s never too early to start playing! She made up this game herself and played it for a good portion of an afternoon.
And I’ll throw in a couple of pics:
