Missing milestones

The tables have turned! Paul saw Martha roll over from back to front and I missed it. I tried to get her to do it again, but she wouldn’t. And then today, I put her on her playmat and quickly read an email from my cousin. (They were belly pics, afterall! I had to look!) Anyway, midway through the email, I looked at Martha and she was on her tummy! I missed the roll AGAIN! At least I caught the roll from tummy to back. Looks like I’ll have to be careful of Toshi’s toys on the floor now. *Worried look*

We’ve also started Marf on rice cereal. She did really great (or indifferent) with that, so I gave her some oatmeal yesterday. However, she vomited twice: once after rice cereal and once after oatmeal. Maybe I made it too thick or gave her too much? I can’t believe she’ll be eating real food soon. Weird.

Marfy also had her 6 month doctor appointment. It was pretty uneventful. She was all smiles until the 3 shots. She is 26.5″ (75th percentile), 15 lbs 8.5 oz (40-50th percentile), and head is 44.5 cm (90th percentile). I thought she’d be at least 16 lbs.

And here is Toshi’s birthday party… only 2 months late! 🙂 The first one is really long, and I only kept it that way as more of a record of events than an entertainment thing. So you probably don’t want to watch it.

This is the cake part. It’s shorter and a little more entertaining.
